Happy International Youth Day! August 12 is an opportunity to celebrate the young people of the world, the largest generation in history.

The theme of this year's International Youth Day is "Transforming education”, highlighting efforts to make education more relevant, equitable and inclusive for all youth, including efforts by youth themselves.

"We’re listening to and working with young people to co-create solutions as part of the new partnership, Generation Unlimited, which will prepare youth for a future of decent work and active citizenship."

Henrietta H. Fore, UNICEF Executive Director, Global Board Member of Generation Unlimited

Generation Unlimited is building a global multi-sector partnership by listening to youth and working with them to create innovative opportunities for our shared future. We are connecting secondary-age education and training to a complex and fast-changing world of work and matching young people with job opportunities, fostering entrepreneurship and empowering a generation to fully engage with their societies as active citizens.

All the voices of the world’s 1.8 billion young people must be heard so Join us on Twitter and Instagram to speak up and raise your voice about what kind of world you want for young people with the hashtags #GenUnlimited and #YouthDay.

It’s your time, your turn, and your future: unlimited!
