Leonardo J. Framil is the Chief Executive Officer of Growth Markets at Accenture, leading its business in the rapidly growing Asia Pacific and Latin American regions, which accounted for over $12 billion of Accenture’s revenues in its fiscal year 2023. He is recognized for his commitment to responsible leadership and creating societal and business value through technology-enabled innovation and reinvention. Leonardo is a champion of inclusive growth and passionate about reducing social inequality by using technology as an agent of change. He is a member of Accenture’s Global Management Committee.
An Accenture veteran, Leonardo has been with the company for more than 30 years, joining as a management intern in 1992. In his previous role, he was Market Unit Lead for Latin America, driving Accenture’s growth and expansion in the region. Under his leadership, Accenture’s workforce in Latin America grew by 75%. During this time, Accenture in Brazil also doubled the number of women in its workforce.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, under Leonardo's leadership Accenture collaborated with government and non-profit organizations in Latin America providing financial and technological aid that helped millions of people in the region get life-saving social assistance and medical support. Accenture and the non-governmental organization Gerando Falcões also collaborated on the ‘Favela Beta’ program to help reduce poverty in working class neighborhoods across Brazil through closer collaboration among residents and business communities. Accenture built “Favela X—The Game,” which uses the metaverse to provide youth a chance to experience life in a favela, so they can gain perspective on poverty and inform their worldview on adulthood. Leonardo is also actively engaged with other non-profit organizations including the United Way Brazil and Instituto Ayrton Senna.
Leonardo was named Executive of the Year by Valor Econômico and has been recognized for “Local Eminence in Innovation,” by LIDE, Brazil’s leading CXO community.
Leonardo has a postgraduate degree in telecommunications engineering from Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF) and has also studied at the Brazilian Institute of Capital Markets (IBMEC), Insead and the University of Chicago.
