Qatar Fund for Development’s Fahad Al-Sulaiti joins Generation Unlimited Board
The Director General will work alongside GenU’s network of Public-Private-Youth leaders championing global efforts to expand learning-to-earning pathways for young people

NEW YORK, 16 APRIL – Generation Unlimited (GenU), UNICEF’s Public-Private-Youth Partnership Platform, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Fahad Al-Sulaiti, Director General of the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD), as a member of its Board. Mr. Al-Sulaiti’s distinguished leadership and commitment to advancing youth opportunities globally make him an invaluable addition to GenU in the mission to skill and connect young people to meaningful education, employment, and entrepreneurial opportunities.

Mr. Al-Sulaiti holds extensive experience in sustainable development, humanitarian aid, innovative finance and education. He was recently appointed to Director General of QFFD, where he oversees the State of Qatar’s foreign aid and international development activities.
Prior to this, he was CEO of Education Above All (EAA) Foundation, where he played a pivotal role in the organization’s establishment and growth as a globally recognized leader in advancing education. Throughout his career, Mr. Al-Sulaiti has been an advocate for collaboration between governments, international organizations, NGOs and the private sector and has cultivated a strong ability to drive partnerships that deliver sustainable solutions, fostering peace and prosperity worldwide.
Mr. Fahad Al-Sulaiti emphasized the importance of this collaboration expressing, “The State of Qatar firmly believes that empowering the youth and providing them with the necessary skills to adapt to an-ever dynamic world poses a gateway of opportunities to many challenges. As a member of the GenU Board and GLC, Mr. Al-Sulaiti will work alongside fellow global leaders to guide GenU’s strategic direction, ensure financial stability, and champion global efforts to expand learning-to-earning pathways for young people. Bringing specialized expertise in innovative finance, Mr. Al-Sulaiti will also offer strategic input on how to best leverage new financial models to support GenU’s mission and broaden skilling and employment opportunities for youth.
