Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming economies, industries, and labor markets around the world.
This transformation should offer unparalleled scope for innovation and job creation, but inequality of opportunity is rife. Young women remain especially under-represented. They face systemic barriers when trying to access training, mentorships and finances.
AIVA is a global venture accelerator that equips young people, particularly young women aged 19–24, with applied AI skills, business training, mentorship and pathways to seed funding to turn ideas addressing community needs into market-ready, responsible AI enterprises.
How the AI Ventures Accelerator works
AIVA is a global accelerator of talent and technology.
Young people, especially young women, build applied AI skills and business acumen, receive mentorship and access seed funding. They then apply this support to turn promising ideas into market-ready, socially responsible ventures that address community needs and have the potential to scale.AIVA offers:
- Skilling and certification: young people build up their practical AI, core technical and learning model skills.Participants go through 50 hours of intensive project-based AI training, at the end of which they submit a working product. Topics range from Tech Foundations to prototyping, user testing, and GitHub workflow in addition to general entrepreneurship and financial literacy topics.
- Venture building and funding pathways: participants receive technical and business architecture coaching before pitching for equity-free seed funding. They benefit from virtual pitching sessions with industry experts and office hours with programme leads to help refine their pitches and prepare for investor negotiations.
- Mentorship and engagement: AI technical coaches and business mentors offer 10 to 15 hours of structured mentorship. Young people connect with potential partners and investors during Demo Days.
