Co-created with public, private, and youth partners, GenU's Global Solutions skill and connect young people to livelihoods globally.
Young people in different regions face distinct barriers to opportunity, shaped by local labour markets, education systems, and economic realities.
UNICEF’s Generation Unlimited (GenU) develops global solutions designed to respond to those barriers, expanding access to job-relevant skills, decent work, entrepreneurship and livelihood pathways in ways that reflect local needs and national priorities.
Co-created, financed, and delivered with public, private, and youth partners (PPYP), these solutions bring together the actors needed to make opportunity more accessible and sustainable:
- Governments help connect programmes to public systems and policy priorities.
- Businesses contribute market insight, technology, expertise, investment, and employment pathways.
- Young people bring the lived experience and leadership needed to make solutions relevant to the barriers they face.
GenU’s PPYP approach helps mobilise investment, strengthen national systems, and move solutions from pilots to scale. Young people play an active role throughout, shaping programmes that support more relevant and lasting pathways from learning to earning.
